The MAXWEAR WEDGE SLIP-RESISTANT OUTSOLE flexes better than other work boot outsoles, absorbing impacts and protecting your feet and ankles while working on difficult surfaces. It is specifically designed to keep you on your feet on flat, wet, and oily surfaces, as well as loose gravel. This sole material also lasts longer compared to blown rubber outsoles.

Additionally, it meets the slip-resistance standards of ASTM F3445-21 and the electrical hazard safety standards of ASTM F2413-18 or ASTM F2892-18.

All boots with a safety toe, whether steel or composite, meet or exceed the impact and compression testing standards.

• IMPACT: Footwear retains a clearance of at least .500 inch (1/2 inch) for men's and .468 inch (15/32 inch) for women's after a nominal impact of 75 foot-pounds (101.7J), with a velocity at impact of 117.9 ± 2.4 inches per second.
• COMPRESSION: Footwear retains a clearance of at least .500 inch (1/2 inch) for men's and .468 inch (15/32 inch) for women's after a compression force of 2500 lbs. (11,121 N).

SLIP-RESISTING:

All footwear is tested for slip-resistance according to ASTM F3445-21 industry criteria.

OIL-RESISTING:

The outsole of the boots is designed to withstand or reduce damage from oil.

ELECTRIC HAZARD:

The boots are constructed or manufactured with electric shock-resisting soles and heels capable of withstanding an application of 18,000 volts (root mean square (RMS) value) at 60 Hz for 1 minute, with no current flow or current leakage in excess of 1.0 milliamperes under dry conditions.
