• 1892: Albert H. Weinbrenner opens a cobblery in Milwaukee at the age of 27, with his partner Joseph Peffer, serving "Jobbing" trades.
• 1900: Albert H. Weinbrenner Co. is formed.
• 1916: First catalog printed. The company has more leather cutting machines than any other in the U.S.
• 1917: Introduced the "Job-fitted" concept. Major supplier of boots to the U.S. Army in WWI.
• 1938: First steps into safety footwear production.
• 1942: Celebrated 50 years in business. Converted to all-military footwear for the duration of WWII, producing combat and dress styles. Military footwear also became popular with civilians.
• 1943: Company workers organize under International Boot & Shoe Workers Union. Management and workers continue an outstanding relationship through today.
• 1964: Introduced The Official Boy Scout Boot: The Hike n’ Camp with wedge sole and moccasin-style stitching. It becomes the company’s best-selling boot of all time and is still available in its original design today.
