A composite shank and removable Ultimate Shock Absorption footbed provide superior comfort without compromising safety. The brand's history dates back to 1892 when Albert H. Weinbrenner opened a cobblery in Milwaukee at the age of 27. Over the years, the company expanded its operations and became a major contributor of boots to the U.S. Army during World War I. The company celebrated its 100th anniversary in 1992 and was later purchased by a local group in 1988. In 2017, the company celebrated its 125th anniversary and demonstrated a renewed commitment to upgrading and improving its domestic facilities. In 2022, they celebrated 130 years as a company with the opening of a new factory and the launch of their first western wear product, Thorogood's Square Toe Wellingtons. As sales continue to increase, the brand remains focused on expanding its product line with new styles on the horizon.
