The MAXWEAR WEDGE SLIP-RESISTANT OUTSOLE is designed to flex better than other work boot outsoles, absorbing impacts and protecting your feet and ankles while working on difficult surfaces. It ensures that you stay on your feet even on flat, wet, and oily surfaces, as well as loose gravel. Additionally, it has a longer lifespan compared to blown rubber outsoles. This outsole meets the slip-resistance standards set by ASTM F3445-21 and also meets the electrical hazard safety standards of ASTM F2413-18 or ASTM F2892-18.

SAFETY TOE BOOTS: All boots with a safety toe, whether steel or composite, meet or exceed the IMPACT and COMPRESSION testing requirements. - IMPACT: The footwear retains a clearance of .500 inches (1/2 inch) for men's and .468 inches (15/32 inch) for women's after a nominal impact of 75 foot-pounds (101.7J). This is achieved by dropping a 50-pound weight, reaching an impact velocity of 117.9 ± 2.4 inches per second. - COMPRESSION: The footwear retains a clearance of .500 inches (1/2 inch) for men's and .468 inches (15/32 inch) for women's after experiencing a compression force of 2500 lbs. (11,121 N).

SLIP-RESISTING: Footwear is tested according to the ASTM F3445-21 industry criteria for slip-resisting footwear.

OIL-RESISTING: The outsole is designed to withstand or reduce damage caused by oil.

ELECTRIC HAZARD: The footwear is constructed or manufactured with electric shock-resisting soles and heels capable of withstanding an application of 18,000 volts (root mean square (RMS) value) at 60 Hz for 1 minute, with no current flow or current leakage in excess of 1.0 milliamperes, under dry conditions.
