Imported and designed with a slip-resistant crosstrex 360 outsole, these boots provide excellent traction on a variety of surfaces by combining hiking boot lugs with work boot grip. The outer material is made of polyurethane (PU).

From the brand In 1892, Albert H. Weinbrenner and Joseph Peffer opened a cobblery in Milwaukee, serving "Jobbing" trades. In 1900, the Albert H. Weinbrenner Co. was formed. By 1916, the company had more leather cutting machines than any other in the U.S. They introduced the "Job-Fitted" concept in 1917 and became a major supplier of boots to the U.S. Army in WWI. In 1938, they began producing safety footwear.

The company celebrated its 50th anniversary in 1942 and converted to all-military footwear during WWII. Popular with civilians, military footwear became a staple of the company. In 1943, the company workers organized under the International Boot & Shoe Workers Union, maintaining an outstanding relationship with management.

In 1964, they introduced the Official Boy Scout Boot, the Hike n' Camp, which became their best-selling boot. In 1988, the company was purchased by a local group, and the ThoroGard division was created, specializing in high-tech occupational safety footwear. Celebrating 100 years in business in 1992, they became employee-owned through an ESOP in 2000.

After the September 11 terror attacks, Weinbrenner donated durable work boots to Ground Zero. In 2014, they introduced the 1892 Heritage line of handcrafted lifestyle boots. In 2017, they celebrated their 125th anniversary and renewed their commitment to upgrading and improving domestic facilities and equipment. As they approach their 130th anniversary in 2022, they are opening a new factory in Merrill, WI and launching their first western wear product, Thorogood's Square Toe Wellingtons. Sales continue to increase, and new styles are on the horizon.
